An open source emulator for IBM's S/390 Mainframe Architecture

Like a pack of  tiny T-Rex's, Hercules/390 savages the computing world.

Hercules is a software implementation of an S/390 mainframe.  It runs on Linux and executes S/390 operating systems and applications software.
As of April 17, 2000, Hercules runs OS/360 MVT, applications, and subsystems.  Hercules includes S/390 ESA support but this has not yet been tested.
As of July 2000, Hercules runs OS/390 ESA.  Hercules/390 also runs Linux/390.  IBM cites Hercules/390  in the Linux/390 Redbook.
